The Department of Logistics and Management Methods (L&MM) was established on June 1, 2011 and is a core department for training in the specialty «Transport Logistics (Road Transport)». The department provides training at the second stage of training in the specialty 7-06-0412-03 «Logistics»

The department is the base for providing educational and research processes in a set of subjects of logistics focus.

It trains specialists in the qualification of engineer-economist, logistician, who, possessing professional knowledge, ensure effective logistics activities of enterprises and organizations. The training program is aimed at helping future logistics specialists professionally solve a set of complex professional tasks related to the rational organization of cargo turnover and freight traffic. In the future, our specialists can hold various positions at enterprises and organizations:

logistician; transport forwarder, engineer for the organization of transportation (as well as — deputy director for logistics);
head of integrated logistics service;
head of regional distribution center;
head of terminal complex;
manager of material flows (products);
manager of retail networks;
integrated logistics manager;
head of purchasing department;
head of sales department;
head of transport department;
freight transportation supervisor;
logistics planning analyst;
warehouse manager;
warehousing supervisor;
head of production organization;
supply manager; sales manager;
distribution supervisor;
customs broker;
transport analyst;
and also work as a logistician and economist in entities of various types of organization and form of ownership.

In 2011, the first admission of students in the specialty «Transport logistics (automobile transport)» took place — 30 people who have the highest score in the faculty of innovative mechanical engineering technologies.

In 2012 and 2013, the admission score for our specialty was among the top three in the university.

Since 2014, a branch of the department has been operating at the enterprise IOOO «BELINTERLOGISTIC», whose employees not only share practical work skills with students, but also actively participate in the educational process and organization of practice.

In its activities, the department actively cooperates with the Association of International Automobile Carriers BAMAP, with the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Belarusian National Technical University, the Tashkent Automobile and Road Institute, the Baltic State Academy of the Fishing Fleet (Kaliningrad).

A CALS-technologies training laboratory has been created at the Department of Logistics and Management Methods, located at 1a Kurchatov Street, room 605. Its creation is dictated by the need to have high-quality and constantly improving electronic methodological materials. And the research work carried out at the faculty requires the availability and maintenance of computer equipment with the necessary software.

The educational laboratory of CALS technologies is the material, technical and methodological base of the educational process and is a specialized audience intended for joint activities of teachers and students, master’s students, postgraduates in studying disciplines related to computer programming, in accordance with educational standards, curricula and programs, as well as for advisory and technical work.

The department interacts with customers of personnel: ChUP Gruzavtolayn, OOO DeltaTranzit, OOO DKS EUROTRANS, ChTTUP Komanda Tekhno Logi, ChTEUP Tu-Tell, ChTEUP Tu-Tell-Logistik, OOO SDEK, ChEU AVSUS, OJSC Bus Park of Grodno.

Famous graduates of the department: Deshuk V.S. – Director of ChUP Tu-Tell Logistic; Kozak T.V. – Head of the Transport and Logistics Department in the Transport and Logistics Department of SDEK LLC; Starodubtseva E.O. – Head of the Transport and Forwarding Department for Working with Clients on the Organization of Small-Sized and Consolidated Cargo of ChUP Tu-Tell Logistic.
