Biography:
Ovchinnikov E.V. was born in 1967 in Grodno. In 1984 he graduated from secondary school #10 in Grodno and in the same year entered the Yanka Kupala Grodno State University. From 1986 to 1988 he served in the army. In 1991 he graduated from Grodno State University with a degree in physics and received the qualification of a physicist-teacher. After graduating from the university, he worked as an engineer at the Department of Engineering and Technological Training. In 1992, he entered graduate school without interruption from work at the OPR NAS of Belarus in Grodno, specializing in 05.02.01 Materials Science. From 1991 to 1994 he worked as a senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Engineering and Technological Training. In 1995, he was enrolled as a trainee teacher at the Department of Materials Science and Resource-Saving Technologies (MSRT). From 1996 to 1998, he worked as a teacher at the MSRT Department. He defended his PhD dissertation in 1997 at the Dissertation Defense Council at the V.A. Bely Institute of Mechanics of Metal-Polymer Systems. In 1998, he was elected to the position of Associate Professor of the MSRT Department of Grodno State University. Since the establishment of the Research Institute of MSRT, he has worked as the head of the joint laboratory «Unikard». This laboratory was created between the Research Institute of MSRT and OJSC «Belcard» in Grodno. In 2003, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus, E.V. Ovchinnikov was awarded the title of Associate Professor. From 2006-2010 worked as the head of the Department of Technical Mechanics and Materials Science (TMiM) of the Educational Institution «Grodno State Agrarian University». Since 2010, he has been working as the deputy dean for research and innovation activities of the faculty of innovative technologies in mechanical engineering of the Educational Institution «Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno». Author of more than 400 publications in the field of materials science, physical and chemical surface phenomena, polymer nanocomposites, logistics.
He is actively involved in protecting scientific developments with patents. During his time at the university, he sent more than 70 patent applications to the patent offices of the Russian Federation, Ukraine and Belarus and received positive decisions on them. In 2000, he became a scholarship holder of the President of the Republic of Belarus among young scientists. Scientific and technical developments in which E.V. Ovchinnikov participated were awarded a bronze medal at the V International Salon of Innovations and Investments, held in 2005 in Moscow, in 2011-2013 — 3 gold and 1 silver medals, as well as first and second degree diplomas at the international exhibitions and congresses «High Technologies. Innovations. Investments», held within the framework of the St. Petersburg Technical Fair. In 2016. E.V. Ovchinnikov defended his doctoral dissertation at the Dissertation Defense Council at the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education “St. Petersburg State Technological Institute (Technical University)”.
